Marco Baccanti 
As Chief Executive, reporting to the Minister of Health, Marco leads ‘Health Industries SA’, the organization of the Government of South Australia aimed to develop partnerships with global Life Sciences industries (pharmaceutical, biotech, biomedical devices, clinical research organizations, telemedicine/e-health, nutraceuticals, etc.) attracting investments and creating knowledge intensive jobs.
It leverages the 3 B AU$ investment of SA Government to create the largest life sciences cluster in the southern hemisphere, encompassing the new SAHMRI Research Centre, the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, the research facilities of University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, Flinders University and CSIRO, the BioSA incubator and Tech hub in Thebarton and the Tonsley Technology Park.
